So, I've been having problems with getting my blog posts to automatically publish to my Facebook page.  This post is a test to see if it has been fixed.  Nothing special, just a short post to check it out.

I hope everyone is having a bright and sunny Mother's Day.  The weather has finally been warm, but today its overcast - still fairly warm, but no sun.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to spend my day with my mother because she lives in another province, but we talk on the phone and use skype all the time, so it's almost like being there.

Well, one of the things I had wanted to do for the kick off of the new site (which is moving at a snail's pace) was to have a contest for the My Memories software. That isn't working out so much and I won't be doing that.  I'm going to come up with something else that, hopefully, will be just as appealing to everyone.  I just hadn't expected to be launching a new store and blog, AND then have a full time day job land in my lap.  Its all kind of overwhelming, but I'm sure you all understand that life hits you smack in the face sometimes and your best laid plans all fall apart. I think my biggest concern right now is how long its taking me to get the new site configured.  Its not hard... I just don't have the energy (or mental stamina after having to learn all the stuff at my new job) to concentrate long enough to learn what I need to do to get anywhere with it.  So, I have to apologize to you all for making some promises that didn't come to light. I'll have an extra day next weekend to work on it because of the long weekend, so hopefully, I'll make some headway.  

The Pixel Scrapper June blog train will be starting up June 1st.  The theme for this one is "Pond Life".  The colour scheme is really pretty (here's a preview):

The colour palette is very different from colours I usually work with, so I'm looking forward to playing with these colours.

Well, that's all I have for today.  Hubby is getting ready to go to work, so I'm going to have a coffee wtih him before he heads out.  I'll talk to you later...

Happy iNSD & happy weekend!  I hope you all are having fun celebrating International/National Scrapbooking Day.  There are lots of things going on around the internet to celebrate and get your creativity flowing.  I plan on checking out some of the festivites, but for the most part I'm going to take it easy today.

Some of you are subscribed to my newsletter and hopefully you've had a chance to read it.  I also hope you like the freebies I offered in this month's edition. In honour of iNSD I have marked down selected product by 50%!  You can find them scattered around the store, so be sure to check those out.  You can pick up some really cute things for dirt cheap.

I treated myself and slept in this morning, so I'm still just lazing around having my coffee.  It looks like its going to be a beautiful spring day, so I want to get some of my plants I started from seed into larger pots today.  I've been trying for the last few years to grow tomatoes - without much luck.  All I want is to be able to get a couple nice plants so I can make enough salsa to last us through to next summer - about 2 dozen jars.  My husband loves Mexican food and if we could make our own salsa instead of buying it all the time, I know he would just love it.  He made the most delicious chillies rellenos last night.  My husband is an excellent cook and is always trying new dishes.  Good for me since I don't have to do a lot of cooking, but bad bad bad for my waistline. :)  Oh well.  Its a good thing he doesn't mind me being plump. :)

Before I go, I just wanted to show you the new products in the store.  I know that some days I need a little help to kick start my mojo in gear and at those times I use templates to get me over the hump.  So, I wanted to provide that help to you with these two new templates.  I also added a little embellishment pack just for the fun of it. :)

Well, work is going good.  I'm finally getting the feel for a few things and the people here are really nice.  As well as things are moving along with my new job is the exact opposite of how things are moving with the new website.  I just don't have the energy at night to spend programming and uploading files, so I've been negligent in getting things ready for it.  I'm starting to have a bit more energy and my body is adjusting to the new schedule, so I'm pretty confident it will be ready for June 1st. 

Another unfortunate side effect of not being able to juggle the new site and my job, is that I completely forgot about INSD being the first weekend in May.  I will definitely be working on something this week for you all for that one.

To finish off here, just a quick reminder that today is the last day to download my portion of the Pixel Scrapper April blog train.  I hope you all get a chance to pick up the other pieces of the kit.  I think they are all just fabulous! 

Also, I don't have a preview made up yet, but I have a nice little kit for my newsletter subscribers, so make sure you sign up before midnight tonight.  I'll be sending it out 1 day late this month.

Soooo....  How have you been?  I started a new job a couple weeks ago so I haven't had the energy to do much of anything else unfortunately.  The new website is going a lot slower than I had anticipated, which means that it I won't have it ready for May 1st.  I really wanted to have it done by then.  I also haven't had a chance to put up all the information for the contest I want to run for the Making Memories software draw.  I will be working on these things this weekend and, with any luck, will at least get the information for the contest posted.

The Bits N Bobs Devils and Demons blog train is officially closed as well as the Stuff to Scrap April Showers blog train.  The links for those mini kits have now been disabled.  If you missed them, keep an eye out in the shop as they will be going up there at a special low price.  The Pixel Scrapper blog train - Birds and the Bees - is still going strong, so you can still download my portion of the train here.

I had a comment from on person that she had some confusion trying to download one of the files from 2Shared.  Understandably, if you're not familiar with the site since they have all these big download buttons.  Here is picture of where you click to download the files.  Hopefully this will help you all out and you won't end up downloading something you don't want.
